Guest Cancellations

More than 48 hours before departure
Guests may receive a full refund or change their date at no cost, subject to availability.

Within 48 hours of departure
A 50% refund will be issued, or guests may change their date at no cost, subject to availability.

Missed Departure
If guests are unable to join at the scheduled departure time and have not contacted us in advance, the booking is non-refundable


Salt & Trails Cancellations

In the unlikely event that Salt & Trails needs to cancel an experience, guests will receive either:

  • A full refund, or
  • Priority rescheduling to another available date.


Medical or Emergency Circumstances

We understand that unforeseen situations arise. Requests related to medical or genuine emergency circumstances will be considered with flexibility and discretion, and may require supporting documentation.


Weather & Conditions

Salt & Trails experiences are designed around real coastal conditions. Safety and overall experience quality always take priority.

Light rain or variable conditions
Experiences generally proceed as planned. Many activities remain enjoyable in mild weather.

If conditions are unsafe (for example hazardous surf, extreme wind, or bushfire risk), Salt & Trails may:

  1. Adjust the itinerary: Substitute activities of equal quality and duration.
  2. Change locations or timing: Move to more sheltered areas or suitable terrain.
  3. Reschedule the experience: Offer an alternative date if conditions prevent a high-quality experience.

If an experience cannot proceed and no suitable alternative is available, guests will receive a full refund.
